The Others Way Festival 2024
ALERT! The Others Way Festival cauldron is boiling again. Bubbling with sumptuous and wild ingredients, Tāmaki Makaurau's favourite street party is back to take over the Karangahape Road precinct on Saturday November 30, 2024.
Auckland's most beloved multi-venue music festival will feature over 30 acts playing at venues up and down the city's iconic Karangahape Road and its surrounds, including an all ages zone, alluring international acts, and Aotearoa’s freshest and finest local talent.
Making a cherished home in music lovers' hearts since 2015, The Others Way has captured a dedicated audience of music enthusiasts and tastemakers by bringing a diverse and eclectic lineup of indie, pop, electronic, hip-hop, soul, punk, metal, folk and more.
Outlier Festival 2024
Outlier Festival presents three days of dancefloors, dedicated listening, talks & experiments celebrating the diversity of antipodean electronic music; featuring 9 acts from Tāmaki Makaurau, 11 from around Aotearoa and two acts from across-the-ditch.
Previously produced in 2019 & 2022, organisers Grace Verweij and Tash van Schaardenburg have curated the festival to potentiate both deep listening experiences and unique dancefloors with a programme of live performances and workshops by adventurous and genre-spanning practitioners, including sound installations, new media artwork, glitch, deconstructed club, emo electronics, ambient, gorge, modular synths, hyperpop, maximalist breaks, broken cassettes, mutant classical, ambisonics, technonaturalism, taonga pūoro, drone, IDM, noise, + surprises unearthed from the outliers, explorers and counterforce artists of electronic music.
An evening with Stephen Fy

Jess BJessB ‘Feels Like Home’ Album Launch Tour 2024
Aotearoas JessB with be bringing her authoritative live show to the club stage in November / December and powering through cuts from her debut album Feels Like Home. The twelve track album which features guest appearances from Sister Nancy, Kranium, Sampa The Great and Gold Fang with JessB tapping into not only the intimate and personal essence of the physical definition of ‘home, but also the mental and emotional embodiment of the refuge and sanctuary that is finding herself as a person.
First Thursdays
First Thursdays is a monthly celebration involving live music, markets, food stalls, restaurants deals and late night shopping, all along Karangahape Road on the first Thursday of the month from 5pm to 9pm.

Exploding Rainbow Ochestra
Last year was a special year for the Exploding Rainbow Orchestra, with two triumphant star-studded performances of the Exploding Rainbow Orchestra's Songbook Volume Two, and a breathtaking, goosebump-inducing (YouTube comment) version of The Front Lawn’s Andy with Vera Ellen at the 2023 APRA Silver Scroll Awards | Kaitito Kaiaka.
Now, as winter’s rain begins to subside and make way for the hope of a glorious Tāmaki Makaurau spring, bandleader and conductor Joshua Worthington-Church has unveiled the details of the eagerly awaited Exploding Rainbow Orchestra Songbook Volume Three shows.
This year’s roster promises to be the most expansive yet. Fourteen songwriters and artists from across the motu invited to each write and perform a brand new song. Each new work will be specially arranged with backing from this maximalist extravagant orchestral and psychedelic polyphonic ensemble.
Happening at the majestic Hopetoun Alpha on Wednesday 9th and Thursday 10th October, the Exploding Rainbow Orchestra Songbook Volume Three will include the phenomenal talents of DBLDBL, Diggy Dupé, Erny Belle, Finn Johansson, Grecco Romank, Hales, Jazmine Mary, Julia Deans, Keira Wallace, Lucy Suttor (Dick Move), Mousey, Oliver Devlin (Hans Pucket), RNZŌ., and WAIWHAI.
